Shipweeks

Privacy policy

Last updated October 2, 2026

Shipweeks is a software development studio. This page explains what our website collects, why, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be scrolled past.

What we collect

The only data we collect is what you send through the quote form:

Alongside the form, our server records the time of the request, the country derived from your IP address, your browser's user agent string, the page you came from, and which version of our homepage you saw. We do not store your IP address.

What we do not collect

We use two analytics tools. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts visits without cookies. PostHog records how the site is used: pages viewed, clicks, and session recordings that replay scrolling and clicking. Anything you type into the form is masked in recordings. PostHog stores a cookie and local storage entry so that one visit is counted as one, and the data is processed in the EU. We do not use advertising trackers. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving the font files; see Google's statement on fonts privacy.

Why we collect it

To reply to your request with a quote and to keep a record of the conversation if we go on to work together. We do not sell or share this data, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Where it is stored

Form submissions are stored in a Cloudflare D1 database and forwarded to a private Telegram channel that only the two founders can read. Cloudflare's infrastructure and its privacy terms apply to that storage. Usage data and session recordings are stored by PostHog in the EU for 30 days; if you submit the form, your email is attached to your session so we can see the path that led to your request.

How long we keep it

Requests that do not lead to a project are deleted within 12 months. If we work together, project records are kept for as long as the contract and tax law require.

Your rights

Email hello@shipweeks.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We answer within 10 business days.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not re-collect anything retroactively.
